We are a small design studio based in São Paulo, Brazil. We create brands for small businesses and visual identities for bigger companies. Usina is a Portuguese word that means factory or industry.
Design meets factory through the thoughts of the philosopher Jean Baudrillard 1929-2007. He comes up with the idea that our modern world is no longer ruled by the force of labor, but instead, through a complex system of signs. From here the metallurgy transforms itself into semiurgy.
